Meet St. Faustina Kowalska: Apostle of Divine Mercy & Messenger of Hope
St. Faustina Kowalska is revered for her deep humility, mystical visions, and unwavering devotion to spreading the message of Divine Mercy. Born in 1905 in Głogowiec, Poland, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy at age 20 and soon began receiving extraordinary revelations from Jesus. Through these encounters, she was entrusted with the mission of proclaiming God’s boundless mercy to the world. Jesus gave her the message of Divine Mercy and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and asked her to share them with the world.
Despite facing illness and misunderstanding, St. Faustina remained faithful to her calling, keeping her heart fixed on Christ’s love and forgiveness. She was canonized in 2000 and is now honored as the patron saint of mercy and those seeking trust in God. Her feast day is celebrated on October 5th.
