St. Clare is widely known for an event during an invasion by mercenaries, when she bravely confronted danger by holding up the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance. As she prayed for protection, the attackers suddenly fled, sparing her convent from harm. This miraculous event is one of the many reasons she is revered as a powerful intercessor and protector.

Her feast day is celebrated on August 11th, and she is the patron saint of television, eye disorders, and those seeking spiritual clarity and inner peace.
